Oh hey guys!! Sorry I just realized I haven't been on here since August 21st!! That was when school was starting- which is actually going VERY well this year. Those of you who know me well, know that last year was terrible, but I actually enjoy going to work now (minus the waking up early part). Well we are down to the wire now so I will catch you up!
Okay so we recently booked our
rehearsal dinner venue and went to taste the food. We are having it at The Firehouse Grill in Blue Ash, Ohio. It is a firefighter themed
restaurant, and they have a huge fire truck sitting out front. It is very unique and the food is absolutely amazing! I actually tried a lot of stuff, that was NOT chicken fingers and french fries.
haha :) I am definitely looking forward to that night!
yummmm!
Nate, my
step mom, and I also went and ordered our wedding cake. I got something totally crazy but "formally fun" as Nate would say! It is 4 tiers and each tier is a different design and flavor. You all know how I LOVE my sweets! I was i
n HEAVEN!
We went to register..ugh, I HATE IT! I am definitely in need of some help in this area! It stresses me out. Nate loves it because he loves to go "scan crazy." He was just scanning everything! I went back
online when we got home and deleted like EVERYTHING we had put on the registry the first day. We are registered at Macy's and Crate & Barrel. Macy's just has really fancy stuff and I am really not a fancy girl. So I am looking forward to going to see what Crate &
Barrel has to offer! They have more modern stuff and
gadgets! :)
Invitations have also been ordered! They are also very funky ( would you all expect anything normal/traditional? If you did, you def. don't know me very well!)
Mainly, we only have a lot of little stuff left to do. I got my wedding dress in November and took it to get altered last month. I go for my first fitting April 21st. It really didn't need a lot of work, but of course I choose a bustle that was the most expensive, and my mom is getting my
maiden name
initials sewn on the inside of my dress in blue, for my something blue.
We still have to work on some decorations for the reception hall, programs (I am making myself), bachelor/
bachelorette party (
cincy and
Chicago), choosing food for reception,
meeting with Mrs.
Oetzel (our minister), and finalizing details with the DJ, florist, and photographer. So...a lot done but still A LOT to do still!!
I promise to stay more on top of things from now on. School is actually slowing down (or running smoothly I should say) so it will be a lot easier for me to update you all on the planning!
Only 138 days to go!!!
AGGHHH!!! : /
